Start the ripening timer correctly, read remaining time and avoid mistaking a paid shortcut for the normal opening step.
Place the recovered cheese at home
A cheese that has reached your hotbar still needs a base position. Equip the cheese, stand beside a vacant base circle and use its Place interaction. Aged Parmesan is visible in the reviewed example. Check the item in the world afterward to confirm that placement succeeded.
If the item remains equipped, step closer to a free circle and inspect the prompt. A carried cheese and a placed cheese represent different stages of progression. Do not start a waiting-time estimate until the game actually shows a ripening item or countdown.
Read the timer on the specific cheese
One recorded base cheese shows COMMON MOUSE and a 0:09 countdown. Another item shows RIPE TOMORROW MORNING and 12h49m remaining. Those are snapshots of remaining time on two items. They cannot establish a fixed duration for every cheese.
The interface includes Open and a paid Instant Ripen option. Read the full prompt and any purchase dialog before choosing a shortcut. A video editing transition does not prove how long normal ripening took. Use the live countdown for your own item.
Inspect the result before moving on
The official description connects ripening with rare finds and new mice. When a cheese is ready, use its opening interaction, read the revealed mouse and complete any deployment step. Then compare the deployed income label with the mice already in your crew.
